İzel Poyraz graduated from Çankaya University in Ankara with a double major in Architecture and Interior Architecture, gaining a strong foundation that enables her to transition seamlessly between different scales of design.

With her experience in product design and manufacturing, she was awarded the Silver Winner in the Product Design, Home Furniture category by the International Design Awards.

From the beginning of her professional career, she has been actively involved in every stage of large-scale projects—from the design process to on-site execution—gaining valuable experience in coordinating projects across multiple disciplines.

Her involvement in various art forms has strengthened her sense of teamwork and unity, which she integrates into her professional practice.

Poyraz believes that excellence is achieved when different disciplines work together in balance and harmony to create a unified whole.

After completing her primary and secondary education at TED Ankara College, Karaca graduated from Hacettepe University with a degree in Interior Architecture and Environmental Design.

Since her undergraduate years, she has gained experience at leading companies in the industry and participated in both art and architecture projects.

She was awarded First Prize in the Armchair Design Category and First Prize in the Showroom Category in a design competition she took part in.

Karaca is also the founder of Lacuna, a brand through which she showcases her design talent. She manages every stage of the products in its collection, overseeing the processes from design and prototype production to final delivery to the customer.

Passionately working to both transform spaces and share her unique products with users, Karaca believes she fulfills the essence of her interior design approach—creating distinctive works that reflect creativity, innovation, and aesthetics, values she also embodies in her brand.
